New Jersey law on flood risk notification, P.L. 2023, c.94, requires sellers of real property to make disclosures concerning known and potential flood risks.  Starting March 20, 2024, the State of New Jersey has mandated all home sellers to answer new questions on the Seller's Property Condition Disclosure Statement to report property flood history and flood zone classification. An online flood mapping tool from the Department of Environmental Protection is available at FloodDisclosure.NJ.GOV. Flood zones explained @floodsmart.gov/all-about-flood-maps.
